Send it, definitely. Too much anonymity in the world when tragedy strikes,
too much of no one seeing anything. Too many people saying, "But I didn't
know him," when we're really all in this together, whether we like it or
not.

I agree with Mike and Chris.  Send it.  I can only imagine the grief his 
parents must be feeling, but what I imagine is that a message like that, 
from the people who were there, would be a great blessing.   How 
comforting it would be to know that someone *was* there with him, and that 
someone cared enough to let the parents *know* they were there.
