(sigh)  How well I feel for you in this.  I, too, have too many books, too 
many of the mother's things, my grandmother's things.  I should hold a gigantic 
sale, but . .can't.  How can I decide what has to go, my grandmother's silver 
service (coffee urn, tea pot, sugar and creamer) and my mother's collection of 
ruby glass?  Hope can I part with my father's framed pressed flowers, or my 
grandfather's pipe collection and ivory chess set?

I have a two-car garage stuffed to the rafters with cartons I probably will 
never again open and can't get rid of.  My OWN stuff, first edition books, my 
photo albums, the massive afghan my great-grandmother crochetted, my father's 
telescope, hand-ground when he was interested in the stars.

  When I die, I will have to be buried in a U-Haul.
