Made a cup holder for my truck out of aluminum scraps.
Little creative things like that, making for myself
something I need, never fails to make my day for days
afterwards.

Learned how to make Silly Putty from a site I found on the
internet. It is amazing and magic. You can make Silly
Putty from Elmer's Glue, Borax, and water. It forms into
shapes, stretches, flows, bounces, breaks and joins back
together. A dab of food coloring can make it any color.

Read an interesting article on facial expressions in a
recent Reader's Digest in a rack near the toilet.
Researchers studying expressions discovered that they felt
rotten after working on expressions communicating things
like anger, disgust, fear, loathing, repulsion etc. They
uncovered evidence that emotions and the muscles that
communicate them through facial expressions operate in both
directions. After reading this I got the idea for an
experiment and smiled at myself in the mirror. I felt
noticeably better the entire remains of the day.
