TheBanyanTree: SI - Hydrating

"Drink water!" he told me before he left. "Lots of water."

So I'm trying to drink lots of water, but I might have to go get some
cookies so I can get thirsty enough to keep drinking water.

I offered to eat his leftover cheesecake for him today, but he said no,
I wasn't allowed. I said, "You're going to work, I'm here with the
cheesecake, who's gonna stop me?"

He pointed out that I'll be relying on him to take care of me, so I
ought to do what he says.

Darn it.

Well, that doesn't stop me from going out and getting my own cheesecake
today. Is cheesecake allowed before surgery? I don't know why not, as
long as I eat it before midnight.

So I'm cleaning up loose ends. I'd like to clean up the entire
apartment, but instead I'm cleaning up stray client paperwork. Since
I'll be out of commission for a couple of days. And drinking water.
Hydrating.

"It could be the difference between life and death!" he said to me this
morning. Life and death? Isn't that a tad bit dramatic? I think so.

This morning he arranged to get meals from Dinner's Ready. He doesn't
mind coming home and cooking, but he's worried about what I'll do when
he's at work and I'm here all day . . . unable to drive myself to Jamba
Juice or QFC. How will I get through the day until he gets home at 10 pm
without starving? Pre-prepared meals, that's how. Just put them in the
oven or whatever and they're done.

Okay, back to hydration.
