often gets misplaces. Curious, seeing how big it is and how it always
seems to be in tripping distance, but....school has been out for 3 1/2
weeks. While we were in Ohio, the lesson was missed due to illness, but
today? Today, there simply was no trumpet.

After I was convinced that the person was truly not seeing it in their room,
I did go and check, because, once in a while, something a 13 year old boy is
looking for could reach up and bite him, but, no, it was not there.

We went to the lesson, anyway, so that Stephen could explain and not leave
Mr. Carney hanging by his fingernails. Mr. Carney said the lesson could be
made up next Monday. He has so much faith in the discovery of where the
trumpet is. It wasn't in the van, nor the car. It wasn't at his father's
he said, to which I grumbled, "Yeah, but you are asking a guy who couldn't
find his wallet for 3 weeks because it fell out of his pants pocket into a
*shoe.*"

I know. Maybe not appropriate, but I took the gloves off and got rough.

At the gas station, I said the to the attendant,

"Wait, LET ME MAKE SURE I HAVE MY WALLET before you put 40 dollars worth of
gas in my vehicle."

Stephen "Why wouldn't you have your wallet?"

"It's been that kind of a day."

"The day has just started!!"

"For YOU!! For me, it's been a thrill a minute for the past hour and a
half! I can't wait for bedtime!"

The trumpet was eventually found, at school, locked in the band room. I
explained to Stephen Woofess's referrals to someone (MM) being "Away with
the Fairies," and he pondered that, a while.

Sometimes bedtime is the only way to stop the pain....of course, then there
is always whether or not someone can actually SLEEP. :)

::sigh::
