TheBanyanTree: silly admin stuff

Oh, the joys of owning your very own domain and running mail lists. :)

The way it is set up by the hosting company, when I create a list there is
an option to have all of the various "convenience" addresses created too.
I'm not sure just what that means, but the option is checked by default.
So I go with the default. The list of addresses has many like "<list
name>-remsset.com-subscribe at lists.remsset.com" and many others in that
format for things like subscribing via e-mail. "<list
name>-subscribe at remsset.com" works just as well, and is easier to type.
All of these addresses are listed on the same webpage as 'normal' mail
addresses.

Guess what I did a couple of months ago?

I cleaned up the clutter. With three or five lists going there was plenty.
Got rid of the various <list name>-remsset.com at lists.remsset.com addresses.
Oops.

Oops because for folks getting the Tree in digest, what does the first line
of each message say? "Send Thebanyantree mailing list submissions to
thebanyantree-remsset.com at lists.remsset.com". Mail to non-existent
addresses at my domain simply vanishes. Not bounced, not dumped into a
trash folder, just dissolved into random electrons.

I'm trying to repair the damage. Meanwhile, update the ol' address book
and post to thebanyantree at remsset.com.

I dinna ever say i wuz smart, huh?
