TheBanyanTree: First Snow

The snowflakes are silent as they find their resting place on the ground.
They’ve covered up the brown grass and the brown leaves. They’ve glued
themselves onto Ray’s car. They’ve defined the outlines of our oaks’ dark
trunks. They dance in the street lights’ glow.

There is no wind. It is just a tad below freezing. The first snow has
arrived.

Thanksgiving Day is a jewel, to set in the hearts of honest men; but be
careful that you do not take the day, and leave out the gratitude.
