Thank you to everyone once again for all of your kind thoughts and
prayers.
Philip had a massive heart attack on the table during angioplasty (sp
?). It was his 4th. His artery was a thin thread clogged at 99%. They
puffed up the artery and removed most of the clotting. While they were
in process he had the attack. He was awake through the entire procedure
so felt the whole thing. Luckily he was where he was and he did not
die. They said that had he NOT been there he probably would not have
made it.
He had a rough night and was in a highly agitated state so I could not
talk to him afterward but he felt much better the next day and I was
able to talk to him on the phone. His young lady friend, whom I have
not had the privilege to meet yet, talked to me, too, and assured me
she would see to it that he took better care of himself. She was
delightful and went a long way to comfort his worried and frightened
mother.
I was unable to be at his side as this happened so quickly, but the
rest of our family, who all live in Baltimore, too, were there in full
force! He had a lot of support and love and prayers behind him. When
he is up and about, she plans to drive my son here to see me around the
holidays. It will be wonderful to see him at last. With work, the lack
of finances, dogs and now, the care of my grandson, it is even more
difficult for me to travel.
Thank you all again,
Sharon
