The Color of Sadness

I hate the color of sadness...
It always makes me blue.
To see your handsome face
Brings misty eyes and dew...

That glisten in the silver...
That makes me see the green
Of the summer days
When you and I did dream

Of golden future's glow....
And the redness of our passion
Seeped ever into whiteness
Bringing winter's edge in....

Until at last you knew...
and brought in all the blue.
Now you've walked away from me
and  only black will do.
