Your posting brought back many memories of "Sparkie".  She was out first 
horse, and taught all the kids to ride. Her patience was outstanding, and she had 
the abilityt to know if a child was experienced or not. For the very 
beginners, she would glide slowly across the lawn like a rocking horse. For the 
experienced, she would run and jump and act like Man Of War.

I would never sell her, and she had a good retirement in our orchard until 
the grandkids came along. Then, once more, she patiently taught a whole new 
generation to ride.

We had Sparky for thirty-five years.
