They built him about two foot tall
it was all they could manage to reach
He was pristine, a bright shiny white
Like they'd put him up--then used bleach

He was their pride and joy and stuff
A thing told about far and near
It was, no doubt, the greatest thing
To happen so far that year

But no one knew the weather report
Or how it was set to blizzard
But the birds were all gathering seeds
To keep inside their gizzard

It snowed and snowed and snowed and snowed
'Twas so much that before bragging could begin
No one could find that white short guy--
The Snowman was snowed in!
