PICKY, PICKY
"I'm going through the disoriented phase now," I said as we sat down to a
late morning coffee on my return from a provisioning trip.
"How do you mean?"
"Hard to describe. It's rather like the way you feel towards the end of a
long, lovely holiday that it's time you went home and got back to the
humdrums."
"I did something like that a week ago. Felt like I was living someone
else's life for a bit."
"Funny, 'ennit. A lot like jet lag only longer lasting."
"We didn't come by jet."
"Well, pantechnicon drag, then."
"We didn't come by pantechnicon either."
"No, but our furniture did."
"I'm not sure that counts."
"It would if you were a table."
"But I'm not..."
"Yeah. I know. Picky, picky."
